An opportunity to discuss social media professionalism and explore the use of social media technology and its related impact on clinical and health systems utilization.

 

The webinars will be led by two of CASN’s Digital Health Peer Leaders: nurse educators who are champions of digital health.

Richard Booth RN, MScN, PhD, Assistant Professor, Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing, Western University.

Richard Booth is an assistant professor at the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing (Western University) and a status-only assistant professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (University of Toronto). He is a clinician researcher with an active research program exploring health informatics, social media technology, and psychiatric-mental health nursing.  Along with his current teaching and research requirements, he is a Faculty Scholar Fellow with the provincial Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES), exploring the use of social media technology and its related impact on clinical and health systems utilization. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN).

Craig Duncan. Craig Duncan, RN, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Laurentian University School of Nursing.

Within digital health, Craig’s major areas of interest include: social media, nursing education, professionalism, and socialization. Craig has worked to support integration of digital health content into undergraduate curriculum through an integrated approach across numerous courses, at multiple sites, and in conjunction with many educators in the Laurentian University Collaborative Nursing Program.
