The Canadian Nurse Educator Certification Program fosters excellence in the academic nurse educator role and provides recognition and merit for the specialized knowledge, expertise, and competencies of this role in Canada.

 

The Nurse Educator Certification Program (NECP) is offered by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) from Ottawa, Canada. The program is offered in collaboration with King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Hospital (Gen. Org.)- Jeddah (KFSHRC-J) (Nursing Development & Saudization Department) Nursing Affairs Department. Please note the specific roles and responsibilities of each party.

 

The program is delivered in English.  The program will be delivered over a period of 11 weeks, commencing from Aug. 27, 2018 through to Nov. 19, 2018.  To supplement the online component of the program, there will be three days of face-to-face classroom teaching which will be held from Oct. 1 -3, 2018. The program is delivered using live webinars which uses Adobe Connect supplemented with the face to face classroom teaching for 3 days (6 hours each day) by the CASN instructors who will be visiting Jeddah; the teaching sessions will be held within KFSHRC-J teaching facilities.  During the live webinars, course participants will access the necessary PowerPoint presentations on their own computers and listen to the presenters through their computer speakers. During the webinars, course participants will be able to communicate directly with the instructors using a chat box function or with a microphone.
